The same reason Jordan stans hated on Kobe, Kobe stans hate on LeBron, and LeBron stans will end up hating on the next great perimeter player...the threat was/is real.
Jordan stans hated on Kobe until it became fully clear that he could never meet Jordan's level. It's the same thing with Kobe stans and LeBron. The difference is LeBron is literally on Kobe's level RIGHT NOW, and probably about to surpass him for good this season.
Theof that is hitting alot of Kobe stans hard and a few of em are dealing with it by lashing out with HORRIBLE threads and hating with no regards to basketball logic or consistency from thread to thread.
As a true Kobe stan, if LeBron wins this year, he deserves all the praise that's gonna come along with it....and I'm placing him above Kobe all-time.
Doesn't mean Kobe isn't an ATG anymore. Doesn't mean he isn't the 2nd greatest SG of all-time. Doesn't change the fact that any All-Time Roster will have Kobe on the roster. Doesn't change the fact he's the GOAT Lakers player. Doesn't change the fact he's MY favorite player ever.
