but yea.. there's soooooooooo much shyt you can write off, that people never do

that's why i always go through turbo tax... the HR block nikka ain't going line by line, constantly reminding you of everything you can do

peep game

do you have an office in your house? can you say you did work on it for your job? i mean really how can they prove you didn't right? well you can deduct that computer, everything you bought for it, the damn furniture in there, and a percentage of all your utility bills, cause you have a "work office"

gas, miles put on the car going to work, deduction

oh you needed to buy pens and paper and shyt for your work desk... deduction

oh you needed work clothes... deduction

etc etc etc..... there's a way to literally find a category for EVERYTHING you bought... as long as you can show it related to work in some form or fashion..

how the IRS gonna stop by, trying to audit your little 5k check, and determine what the hell you bought for work and what's for play when they wasn't there to watch you using it all year and for what

Anybody got thresholds for deductions to not get audited? I know they exist.
No there isn't. It's at random. But the lower your number and less you take, the least likely they will care

Unless shyt looks like total bullshyt. You make 40k and somehow claimed enough to pay zero taxes. They coming breh

Yes I do but that doesn't matter cause I've had a regular job every year up till last and done the same thing

If you work, anything bought for work is deductible. So if you coming home after work, turning on your laptop, and doing more reports and emails and blah blah. Well that laptop is a business expense. You needed it to do your work on.

Now the irs is gonna ask "but did you use it for watching porn and fb too"

And I'm gonna say "nope"

^^^Just know that mileage expenses only can be deducted if you travel anywhere outside of your typical commute to and from work. So you can't just expense mileage to get to and from work at a stationary office. This gets ALOT OF PEOPLE caught up if they audit you. Different rules can be applied if you are self employed and your home is your office.

Also the majority of things you may think you can just write off if you are employed usually CANNOT be written off...legally.

Just wanted to let people know and also consult with a licensed professional if you have things you may think you can write off...
