This would be a bad move for the japanese

Why start funding a military when the states got your back? The hell you gonna do with it other than piss people off?

Them Chinese ain't gonna just chill and let the japs tool up, and it ain't like they about to invade Korea again them nuclear thangs is pointing to the sky play boy

So what they gonna do? Influence affairs in Singapore? How much more they gonna influence them if they have some guns than they could if they invested them shyts in the economy?

They don't know how good they got it paying the US that protection money

And I promise we ain't bout to let them stop putting that bread up just cuz they built an aircraft carrier or some shyt
You joking right? Are is the slave mentality that deeply entrenched in you? :dahell:

Japan importing all those goods from china makes them more reliant on china to get cheap quality goods, it doesn't mean they could cripple China. You understand that right?

You do understand the power of consumers right?

You don't understand basic economics.
China isn't mandating shipment to Japan. Japanese choose Chinese goods over other producers, they choose them because it benefits them, if they were to block chinese goods they would be worse off in either quality or pricing, and this would increase the Japanese cost of living by now losing a cheap chinese good.

Chinese hurts, but Japanese hurt more because unlike China it isn't just a few companies being hurt (chinese manufacturers), its Japanese consumers ie Japanese whole society who feels the pain of a boycott.
Chinese consumers are a bit insulated by the Chinese state to have chinese goods forced on them (this is a extra cost to the chinese populace) but in matters of a trade war this would help them out because they wouldn't feel the loss of trade from Japan.

didn't read article yet, but wanted to say that after living in Japan for months, they've always had groups that are nationalistic (like almost every country). There allowed to freely ride around with megaphones or big trucks spouting their anti-foreigner rhetoric.

Do they just wax on about foreigners in general, the West, specific groups, etc?

China is an export economy. Removing the 3rd largest country they export to would not hurt their economy?

Japan's GPD per capita is $40.8K while China's is $14.5K. Even with a rising middle class, that shyt is extremely low and points to them still needing consumers for continued growth.

This is all moot in regards to my first comment. Japan is on par with China as far as their economic influence in the region. Building their military to compete against China is a good thing for everybody.

Chine is a net export economy. Removing a 3rd largest partner would hurt, but not as much as Japanese blocking out their number 1 import partner.
GDP is irrelevant in a trade war, we know economically the average Japanese has more income than the average Chinese citizen.
Yes you did lose track.
Japan isn't on par with the economic influence of China in the region though, china has far more trade partners and engages in manufacturing that supplies most of the world, they have far more economic power in the region than Japan.
Japan becoming militeristic isn't a good thing for the Japanese or Chinese, and a potential war is terrible for both nations, its not a positive in the slightest if you value human life.

All nations claim territory, there are bodies and courts setup to handle this. Those are the methods you should be pushing.
You talk about war like its a game. Grow the hell up.

Keep up with the news. The Hague tribunal already declared what China is doing is illegal.

Yes it recently did, not its time to tack diplomatic action regarding what they are doing in the South China sea, not military action.

1. Japan has always been on that super right nationalistic tip, ever since they got utterly sonned by cacs it just got worse.
2. The governor of Tokyo is the most right wing nationalistic of anyone before him, and he's in the liberal democratic party. He makes WW2 sex slaves sound like ordinary workers, thinks Japanese war criminals aren't actually criminals, and is a revisionist, aka wants to rewrite and change history.
3. Now that a retarded deranged pro war cac is now president they feel like they can upgrade the fukkery and start fukking with the other countries near em. They been tired of being cucks for decades.
4. Idgaf if they nuke the whole country, just save a few sushi chefs, Sony's playstation development team and a shipload of paags.
