So Jazzy B.'s just finished watching The Android/Cell Saga and man that shyt is so underrated

Best DBZ saga by far, A lot of people put da Sayian and Frieza saga above it, but Jazzy B. reckons it's better than both,
shyt had me on edge all way through (skipped the filler of course), plays like a 80's Sci-Fi Horror movie, it was like watching Alien and Halloween mixed together The way they gradually built it up and changed the threats mid way through was .

The way it starts Trunks comes back and warns them about the Androids, fastfoward 3 years n the Z warriors are waiting for The Androids to show up at the Island, so much tension and anticipation, next thing you see is Yajarobi get blasted out of the sky and the Androids disappear into the city and they only show parts of their bodies and them walking through the city like Jason Voorhes before they meet Yamcha, The Cell Saga also had very good character development for every character even The Androids were developed. It also has so many good moments throughout.


When Android 20 punched straight through Yamcha's chest and killing him

When Dr Gero heard Goku say they cant fight here due to the amount of people nearby and then proceeded to level the city with his lasers had me

The way we're introduced to Cell, first you hear about another time machine , then you see his egg then shell, then you hear about peeps in cities vanishing like dust, then Piccolo arrives and you see Cell for the first time who then sucks the life out the guy he's holding.


Imperfect Cell(a nasty alien lookin grasshopper/locust thing) calling other nikkas vagabonds and disgusting

Imperfect Cell going super saiyan and using the kamehameha on Piccolo in addition to other Z fighter special moves and power levels

Piccolo fusing with Kami and becoming the Super Namek , nikka for a while was the stronger than both Goku and Vegeta.

The Piccolo/Imperfect Cell rivalry, the way these two trashed talked each other was just

Piccolo looking like a boss and taking on Android 17

When Imperfect Cell had Piccolo shook when he turned up on the Island where the Androids.

Tien stepping up to make a difference unlike those two pussies Krilin and Yamcha and taking on Cell


Imperfect Cell's GOAT slow theme you knew bad shyt was about to happen when you heard it.

Dat dumbass nikka Krillin not breaking the remote

Perfect Cell schooling both Vegeta and Trunks


Cell Saga had far better pacing than the Frieza saga.

Tien not helping Piccolo against imperfect cell when they could have worked together to throw him in the bushes

17 acting all hard around Cell and getting absorbed instead of running away after Piccolo got ethered

Krillin going from rocking pimp c suits and chopping up game with his destructo discs to going full Keith Sweat over 18

Vegeta getting jealous enough to let Cell go perfect just for a chance to show up goku

No disrespect OP, Future Trunks was that dude, but other than that, the android/cell saga was overrated.

Breh most of what you brought up was consistent with what preceded it, Vegeta had always been jealous of Goku and sole desire was to prove that he was better than him and the best one in the universe, to prove that he was he had to get Cell to his final form, Android 17 was an arrogant Android which is why he didn't run away, he also though that 16 had killed him, Android 16 fought imperfect Cell after he had taken out Piccolo, Androids were activated before they were meant to, Gero also had the remote which controlled them. Breh Piccolo told Tien not to get involved, Krillin was a p*ssy throughout so him not deactivating 18 was consistent the only one i'll give you was Bulma bringing Trunks to see the Androids. Cell Saga had a better story than the others, had better character development, was the most intense, showcased all of the fighters and not just the Saiyans and more big moments.

All the mistakes in the Android/ Cell saga built up for the Buu Saga and made then that much stronger.

Android/Cell saga was a bunch of highlight reels mashed together. LOTS of flash, minimal substance.
