So Jerruh Jones thinks Deion Sanders would have shut down Megatron. Thoughts?

Michael Irvin gave all DB's no choice but to be physical. :youngsabo:

Michael Irvin mission was to cave your chest in. Mike was going to test your manhood :birdman:

**snorts 29seconds**

Prime knew Irvins game back in college, bet mike begged jerry to get prime in dallas, kuz he wasnt tryin 2 put up with that shyt he put up with against deion in 94 in the candlestick, he feasted on eric davis, deion got on em :why::sadbron:

he got deion like twice, but the other 10, was all on davis

Lmao first of all stafford aint shyt, on what planet is he better at any thing than mcnabb besides arm strength

Did u watch the game, those 3 catches wasnt all on champ, stop stat talking

Now its the qb fault tho, maybe they just gettin locked up, maybe thats all

U know shyt dont just work like since so and so wr beat so and so cb means this player would also right? So u telling me tillman is better than prime champ, fukkouttahere

How many games have champ played against elite wr and locked them up

I recall moss a couple times, I sure he checked every elite wr in his era and u can only point to a couple times where he got beat

And its this one and the game chad beat him, both was from short passes and they broke the tackle and the rest of the game they didnt do much and he caught the pick to end the bengals game

And can u please stop talking like TO is a bum, dude is probably the hardest wr to bring down in nfl history, and until futher notice is higher on my list than Johnson

**snorts 29seconds**

Im the biggest to stan on this site breh, i aint talkin like to a bum. breh, its fact calvin hands are better than owens, anybody would tell you that, and he has a higher vert n taller, but play wise damn near, real fan will know their faults and thats owens his hands

johnson would kill bailey again

Deion never came to the huddle, he just followed the best receiver around

Deion would slow down Megatron and in a 10 game matchup, It would probably be a 50/50 split.....however, this quote is absolutely false.

Prime Time did NOT follow WRs around. He guarded 1 side of the field with no safety help, and when the offense shifted their #1 WR over to the other side (the other CB), the safety help was rolled over to help out leaving Deion on the original 1st island.

Are you sure about that? Or is this what you believe to be true with revisionist history, and nostalgic recollection.

Jerry Rice murdered Deion's teams breh (even though they werent exclusively locked up)....look it up.

Matter of fact, I got you.

1989: Jerry Rice had 6 catches for 113 yards and 2 TDs against Deion and The Falcons over 2 games

1990: Rice had 21 catches for 396 yards and 6 TDs against Deion and The Falcons over 2 games

1991: Rice had 13 catches for 182 yards and 1 TD against Deion and The Falcons over 2 games

1992: Rice had 11 catches for 228 yards and 3 TDs against Deion and The Falcons over 2 games

1993: Rice had 9 catches for 138 yards and 0 TDs against Deion and The Falcons over 2 games

1995: Rice had 5 catches for 161 yards and 1 TD against Deion and The Cowboys in their only matchup of the season

1996: Rice had 5 catches for 49 yards and 0 TDs against Deion and The Cowboys in their only matchup of the season

Total?

Jerry Rice caught 70 catches for 1,267 yards (18.1 ypc) and 13 TDs in a total of 14 games against a Deion Sanders led team breh:ufdup:

That's to be expected though, being that Jerry Rice is the Greatest NFL Player ever.....even Deion said so himself:yeshrug:

What's crazy is that Jerry Rice basically averaged 5 catches for 91 yards a game plus about 1 TD whenever his team played Deion Sanders' team.

Averaged out over 16 games, that would be 80 catches for 1,456 yards and 15 TDs against teams with the Greatest CB ever over the course of a full season:mindblown:

Did you see those games or did you just go to pro football reference and look at his stats and attributed them to Deion was on him the whole time?

Bu-bu-bu......you JUST said that:

Deion never came to the huddle, he just followed the best receiver around and was asked to cover him paraphrase Jerry Glanville when he was coaching Deion in his ATL years.

:lupe:

Which one is it?:patrice:

Did Deion always cover the #1 WR or did he not?:heh:

I actually watched the games back then and know that Deion did NOT follow WRs all around the field like say a prime "Jets" Darrelle Revis. He was more similar to a Nnamdi Asamougha on The Raiders where they guarded sides of the field without much assistance (in Deion's case, no safety help).

:gladbron::banderas: @ Darren Woodson saying he never had to worry about the other side of the field, when he played with Deion.

he put up stats, but all that was not against deion...cause like you said, deion didnt follow people...he had 1 side of the field and that was it...him and jerry went against each other, but jerry didnt just stay on prime's side all day...the 49ers were smart and moved jerry around...

Then why did it take him 3-4 seasons to get into GAWD mode, when 84 was doing it out the gate?
Megatron disappointed me so bad when i drafted him his rookie year
