So Jerruh Jones thinks Deion Sanders would have shut down Megatron. Thoughts?

:aicmon:
megatron would get his on prime. they are both great players, i hate when yall nikkas try to act like nobody in the new age can fukk with the :flabbynsick: era
Naw breh, I could tell you were young off rip because if you actually witnessed the Deion era you wouldn't be on this type shyt. Dude was great breh, like when you think of Revis. Think of him on steriods and you will have deion.

Back in Deion's day you could grab and push on the receivers without drawing a foul. If they were playing by those rules i dont think Calvin would be able to get away from him. He isnt really a physical Michael Irvin type of player. He is big but he doesnt muscle you.

Here's something that can help settle the debate:

Whose era are we playing in here? These days, the rules HEAVILY benefit Megatron. Back in Prime's age of dominance, that wasn't the case. We saw Prime struggle at times with the P.I. rules when he played for Baltimore.

I bet leon sandcastle can shut him down.

I think deion contains him but Calvin still gets his. they both have speed so not like Calvin can break away. I think he is stronger and bigger tho so they might need to send help if he catches one. not like he gonna score anyways. he getting stopped at the one, like every one of his catches seem to end.

prime wouldve done a solid job covering him

tackling him is a different story:huhldup:
Pretty much this.

People bringing up Revis and Tillman have a point, but Calvin is a MUCH better receiver now than he was during those matchups. Dude is on another level and neither of those guys would shut him down now.

Deion's the GOAT, so he would blanket Calvin, but on jump balls, Calvin has the advantage and God help Deion if Calvin did get a slant or stop route on him.

He was 37-38 with the Ravens and had been retired the previous four years. :rudy:

Rules are rules, age ain't got nothing to do with following the rules.:manny:

And he had like 5-6 ints, one for a pick six, during his time as a Raven (about a season and a half, I think). This is with him openly wearing his age on his jersey as if to say "Yeah, I know I'm this. I'm still gone get mine."

So that argument is invalid.

Alotta folks in here that's sayin megatron would murder prime obviously never seen him play live....prime wasn't like any other corner, prime played the ball 1st, the qb 2nd, the reciever last. Deions speed allowed him to bait qbs into throwing his way then he jumped routed cuz he had unreal recovery speed. Cj wouldn't be able to get seperation cuz prime would live in his hip, add in he was the most physical corner I ever seen on the line of scrimmage, which he only used to to throw off timing in routes ran to jump them.....I'm telling you brehs cj would hav a long afternoon.

Yeah it's pretty to easy to tell who didn't experiences Deion in his prime. That shyt was the definition of a shut down corner. Dude was like Jason Kreuger to qb's
