Nah, that Crucial Conflict reference was honestly for comedic effect lol. I'm just saying his particular "rappy" style doesn't appeal to me.
I don't like verses structured like that.
I can admit I haven't sat and "listened" to the album. I've skinned through 4 or 5 tracks in 10 second intervals and never stopped to focus on his content. To me I like bars like "Popped a molly I'm sweating" more than I like shyt like "I bomb atomically Socrates philosophies and hypotheses." People are just different. I do give Kendrick kudos for being original and refreshing though. It's just not for me.

but these half formulated opinions need to goi was gonna respect your opinion til i read this
he isn't speaking abstractly once on this album, listen to the fukking lyrics.
it took me a few listens to focus cause i'm like that sometimes, but when i did
neg rep 1 star, the coli gets too ridiculous sometimes. barely listening to shyt and coming in here complaining about shyt. maybe you'd like the song if you listened to the lyrics, it might help you ignore the voice changes
with that said, if you don't like it. that's coolbut these half formulated opinions need to go

Is it my responsibility to listen in depth for a set duration?
Or is it his job as an artist to draw me in?
If your delivery is too rappity rappity for me or your voice is trash... chances are I'm not going to absorb your lyrics. That's not unreasonable on my part.
I gave it several shots, several songs, several diff parts of those songs, wasn't feeling any of it, so I moved on.
It's music. The music has to SOUND good. If it was just about the lyrics he should write a book that doesn't have to be listened to in his awful voice with his terrible rhyme schemes.

thats the best song on the album. and you just heard it?![]()

On October 23, 2012 after much acclaim from the hip hop comunity outspoken rapper Shyne took to twitter to run down on the album calling it trash and the beats horrible.[8] Rapper Game quickly took ofense to this calling Kendrick non-confrontational in that he wouldn't respond to Shyne.[8] After Shyne stood by his comments and called Game his "little son", the rapper responded with a freestyle dissing Shyne titled "Cough Up a Lung".[8][8] Shyne then responded with his own diss towards Game in "Psalms 68 (Guns & Moses)."[8]

Lets talk about the beat switch on Mad City![]()
