If you aren't just looking at box scores it was clear that KD was the best player on the court. LeBron was trash on defense and took every possible play he could off on that side of the ball and KD made him pay.
He was the best player in the series because of his team. He didn't just become a way better player of the course of the year. Context matters. You can take shots at Lebron's defense, but the workload he had to carry was far greater than Durant's.

When the second best player on your team is Stephen Curry you should put up numbers like that.0

kd is the same hes always been, he just has a better team.

im sorry but its just not impressive to me what hes doing on this team to say hes the best. of course hes going to score easily on what is basically an all-star team

he is still under Bron. he is very good though because he did great with OKC, but again, he hasnt had quite the success with less of a supporting cast. Remember he played with 2 MVP level players in OKC...they werent fully developed due to the offense being structured around him. Would like to see how good he could make a trash team. He wouldve proved so much more if he wouldve done this with OKC this year and dont go telling me he couldnt have. I believe OKC wouldve beaten GSW and wouldve gave Cleveland a good run if not beat them too. He just didnt want to risk it.

I just hate these conversations because players teammates dont come into consideration. I always think of how everyone always says Kobe was better than T-Mac in his prime, and I am not saying he wasnt, but it wasnt no wide gap or nothing. It was easy for Kobe and the Lakers to beat up on Orlando when he had Shaq and all those other players and T-Mac only had Darrell Armstrong n shyt. :francis:

No. Lebron still better. KD just had a better Squad and another MVP

Lebron's numbers and efficiency from this finals is good enough to beat any Durant led OKC team, and any Curry led Warriors team.

Put em together though? Hard to overcome.

bu..bu..bu....Lebron put up empty stats in the Finals. Coli logic is amazing sometimes.

Well LeBron made this team to be this way, he got the roster he wanted, but his style of play doesn't work on a wholesome team that makes him work on the other end because he made the team full of spot up shooters that can't create for themselves. LeBron had a similar leap as KD when he originally joined Miami because he didn't have to do as much and could focus on other aspects of the game. However, LeBron isn't getting passes for being awful on defense because we've seen superstars have to carry an offensive workload but still play elite defense on their matchup time and time again.

No hater shyt from me

Lebron going 34/12/10 on 56% is amazing

So is KD going 35/8/5 on 56% shooting

Both were amazing

But when your 2nd option is averaging nearly a triple double ON 29 points and 53% shooting
Your third option is one of the best perimeter defenders in the game
Your fourth option is one of the best defenders in the game and a future and former runner up DPOY

Not to mention Iguodola guarding Lebron so much.

He should have put up those numbers.

Not to mention LBJ played more minutes than KD and matched his efficiency.

Better offensively? They put up near identical numbers with KD playing with way better players overall.

As a matter of fact, Lebron put up better numbers. And was just as efficient.

We all know what KD does when he's not sorrounded by another MVP.

See last years WCfinals
KD is definitely a more potent offensive weapon breh :hubie:

It's LeBron, but they're 1 and 1a at this point. KD can officially take the crown next season if he doesn't already have it :francis: Bron's lack of 4th quarter production was :scust:

the problem I have with this is he was clearly fatigued. he was logging more minutes than anyone. 46 minutes? they probably couldve won the series if he could play every single minute but one game he went out for a few minutes and the Warriors went up 21-10. in that instance I can see where a guy like Melo can help them offensively. he cant stop anyone but at least the game would be even when Bron finishes resting. Kyrie is a great one on one scorer but the offense struggles with him being the sole scoring option. Love Kyrie but this is why I feel as PG, Wall and Thomas are better. They can collapse a defense better.

Not against a team like this. Yeah players carry the load on both sides, but not against a team like GS 17'. A team like this has never been assembled. Look what it took to beat them in game 4.

It's not the same. The pace. The firepower. It's a lot.

yeah, I dont see how people can say Lebron had empty stats. thats crazy. if they were empty, they wouldnt even be in the Finals.

They had a full team and home court for game 7 no excuses

Nah. Draymond played 6 games of that series. Iggy played.

Nobody 100%

No excuses

BRON took two games from em last year sans Kyrie&Love

When GS loses? Of course not.

I thought it was no excuses tho :patrice:
