Here we go with this industry plant shyt... :camby:

You nikkas stick to the same old script every time this particular artist gets buzz or recognition. Sound like a bunch of females complaining about the most popular girl in school stealing their boyfriends.

I call someone a plant when it applies.

theres about 6-8 obvious plants in the game right now.

Lol. I don't know if it's cause you nikkas take this shyt personally/to heart, but what does realizing that Kendrick's shyt was over hyped have to do with being a fan of his? Keyword here is fan, not stan or Drake hater.

I been rockin' to Overly Dedicated for the past 2 hours and I even got tickets to the Yeezus tour just to see Kendrick. None of that changes the fact that the shyt was over hyped and that Jay Rock out spit him (IMO).

And he may not have been hypin' it himself, but he didn't say anything to humble the hype. Dude was probably feelin' the shyt out of himself :laff:

Only to find out he only can get a steady stream of people talking about him when he mentions others' names. :childplease: I hope he stops that shyt and just focuses on making good music.

That wasn't for you neccesarily, its a if the shoe fits statement...and I'm pretty sure the shoe fits or will fit many of the people who will make comments in this thread:manny:...and I seen em on Arsenio talkin about the Control verse and he sounded humble to me,far as the BET cypher nikkas is hype over a damn snippet:what:...what he supposed to come out and say "calm down y'all my verse ain't all that:whoa:"....its alotta folks mad out there at the fact he gettin to much attention and respect in they eyes...we see the Kendrick hate campaigns that been goin on since the album dropped, did numbers and got critical acclaim, got stronger after control

If you a fan I'm not sure why you seemed suprise by the outcome,it was solid. But it proved what I already knew which is that Crooked I is still the best lyricist on the west. And matter of fact I wouldn't have been suprised if Problem had done better than Kendrick in the cypher. Pure lyricism he's not in a class by himself so I just don't see the shocker here...cypher validated he was nice and nothing more. You think maybe u drank the koolaid and now you made this thread bcuz u feel let down bcuz you drank it:ohhh:?not accusing,I'm asking...as a fan I don't see how u could think he under performed otherwise

hmm, I feel like Kendricks Section 80 and GKMC were both classic albums and they were done back to back. Most of the cats we consider to be the greats haven't even done that back to back
Jay has Reasonable Doubt, Hardknock Life, and Blueprint
Nas has Illmatic and Stillmatic
Pac had Me against the World and All Eyes On Me
Biggie had Ready to Die, ( i feel like Life after Death could've been made into one disc)
Dre had The Chronic and Chronic 2001
Snoop had Doggystyle

Classic albums are rare in a persons career, if you start off your career with 2 albums that were done that good, I feel like if he drops a third of equal value.... you have to start placing this kid very high in Hip-Hops upper echelon of all time greats. It's not d!#k riding; it's just real talk. He makes good, quality, music... forget the freestyles and cyphers; those don't cement your legacy in this game.

That's actually not what I said, OP saying "time to execute in the clutch" I'm here to remind those who forgot that the kid already executed in the clutch when he dropped GKMC. I don't say it was his peak but I ain't gonna act like the kid ain't already plant his flag because he did.

I expect more great albums and for him to establish his team as a legendary force but he has already proven a lot. Sorry if you disagree

What do I mean by that??

Nobody was checking for no section 80

Classics are determined by impact

Section 80 aint impact sht...no one was really checking for that sht

I'll give u GKMC but section 80 a classic?? :childplease: Miss me wit all that basura

Ok what does a industry plant have to do with the actual music they put out? Please explain the correlation...

Or are you implying that somehow being a industry plant brainwashes people into liking their music?

fukk the industry, the music is there... Which is all that matters. Point blank.

Come on my dude, you can't base a classic on whether or not it was released on the internet.. we're in the new age era.. everything will be internet releases in the next 5 years. The only reason Section 80 doesn't get the same critical acclaim is because Kendrick wasn't mainstream at that point and Aftermath wasn't involved with TDE yet. The quality of the album is classic worthy.. Rigamortis, Poor Mans Vice, Tammy's song F your Ethnicity.. The album goes deeper than GKMC, it's a classic, if he dropped it tomorrow as a follow up to GKMC nobody would complain.
