I was a nerd in high school and I didn’t grow up in the hood so I don’t know about dope boy dealings. I remember only one high school girl that had an adult “boyfriend”. He was 24 year old but she was a 19/20 year old senior. I only spoke to her because I was her tutor for sophomore Spanish. I’m sure she had an undiagnosed learning disorder. I imagine she’s the average high school girl that 25 year old dope boys “date”.

Girls used to get married by 15 back in the day.

That’s how it was throughout history up until like 30 years ago.

1990 was 30 years ago. Women weren’t getting married at 15 in the 1980s, they weren’t even getting married at 15 in 1900. At least it wasn’t the normal age of marriage even if it socially acceptable. For the last few hundred years before the 1960s and on, the average of marriage for women was late teens and early twenties.

This is just like when people misconstrue the average age of death and think people lived a shorter amount of time in the past because of high infant mortality and wars. If you made it past infancy and didn’t die in battle, you were very likely to live as long as we do now.
