His own admission about how he interacts with his own teammates isn't chatty patty, you twerp.
It goes toward his integrity and team chemistry and gives insight into how his actions and mentality permeate into his teammates and ultimately onto the product on the court.
His personally (no matter what Shaq or anyone else says now) was directly and sometimes indirectly a factor in why the Lakers won and didn't win.
Do you have the slightest fukkin concept of nuance when talking about sports?

jordan, bird, kareem were all legendary a$$holes and it didnt affect shyt about their games. Kobe's got more rings being an a$$hole than any nice guy in the history of the sport. Care about a man's disposition when that edge helped him become one of the GOATs.Timmy did better without being a dikk.
I'm glad it worked for Kobe. I don't think it was necessary tho.

Kobe Bryant’s incredible 20-season NBA career is coming to an end soon, and it’s expected anybody who’s anybody will be there to watch Black Mamba in his farewell game. However, there are two people who may not be attending the game- Kobe’s parents, Joe and Pamela.
“The relationship with family is extremely important,” he said in an interview with Andrea Kremer for HBO’sReal Sports. “You also can’t force things. And so, I hope and I pray that one day things will be better between us. Unfortunately, today is not that day.”
If you’re lost: Bryant and his parents have not seen eye-to-eye, especially since his parentsauctioned offmillions of dollars worth of his old memorabilia in 2013. The three were later embroiled in a legal battle in which Kobereachedan undisclosed settlement with the auction house. Among the items auctioned off were old high schoolbasketball uniforms, rings from the Lakers’ championship win in 2000.
When asked if his parents will be at the Staples Center for his final game, he said, “I’ve thought about it, I’m not sure. Probably not.”
