That 2013 team probably still does well and wins a title with Memphis and San Antonio taking them to 7 if they were in the west. They did have a fairly respectable record against the west in the 4 seasons together. It would have been a grind no doubt but I think they do well all the same. You can kind of still spot the type of teams that would give them trouble in both conferences.

And if the Spurs were better last year then they wouldn't lose in regulation and Game seven. That's with Bosh scoring 0 points too

Dude is literally sleepwalking through the playoffs...

Last year he got...

Bucks in the first round...come on...

Bulls without Rose...

Pacers...who played them pretty tough...but have one of the worst offenses in basketball

This year they got

Bobcats with a hobbled Jefferson

Nets...oldest team in the league...100 million dollar point guard putting up 0 points in a game...KG scoring 2 points in a game...

Indiana...fighting for their lives just to get past a Hawks team without their best player...

If there is any team in the league that should be fresh going into the playoffs, it should be the Heat...
I would perfectly ok with the League completely rebuilding the east lol
have a fukkin expansion draft for them muthafukkas or something
throw all the players in one big pot and make some shyt pop

Making it out of the east in 2011 wasn't easy. The Bulls would have beat the fukk out of any of those teams in the west that year

You and I remember that bulls team VERY differently...

Then again I have never been that high on the bulls cause I never feel like they can consistently score enough...even with rose...to consistently win in the playoffs

I can be honest and say playing in the East is a god send for Bron's careers appearances in the Finals.

The Cavs failed to bring in enough talent to take full advantage of the situation. If the East is really that bad then why Melo had more success in the west?:yeshrug:

He failed to make the playoffs for the first time playing in the East

Because Melo had better TEAMS in the West. It's not as simple as plug a player in the east from the West and he automatically brings a team to the ship. :heh: Like I said...the real NBA finals in 2009 was between the Lakers and the Nuggets.

how many years out of the 5 would you consider a cakewalk?

bron been challenged in the eastern playoffs plenty of times
I don't recall saying something was a cakewalk....but I do know that the Spurs that swept the Cavs in the Finals at least lost one game to the Nuggets with AI and Melo.

Magic, Bird, Kareem, and even Jordan should thank the high heavens they don't have to play in this shyty 24/7 shock TV network and social media era.

Elgin Baylor would be looked at COMPLETELY different. He went 0 FOR 8 in the finals.

So would the "logo" Jerry West. He went 1 FOR 9.

The crazy thing is as much as people complain about lack of parity in the NBA (Like only 8 teams won since '81 right? something like that?) How lopsided would the league be if Lebron was hypothetically still buried in the west? (assuming he wouldnt make it out ever like Melo, Nash, CP3)

I mean its LITERALLY been Spurs and Lakers out of the west, with only a couple of Mavs wins going and one Thunder win. And you can argue even those three could have been Spurs wins, add to the other titles winners from the East that won beating the Lakers (Boston, Detroit)

I honestly wonder if that helps the league anymore, since parity was a big issue with the big 3 getting together.

If the West is dat good all the time then why the Heat backdoor swept the best team in the West in 2012?

Not saying the Heat aren't a great team that was probably a better team than most of the west teams each year. What I'm saying is that if you are playing tough teams every round you can't afford to have an off game or two without risking losing a series. So you have to be on point for the most part for four rounds because even if you're the better team each round will be competitive. In the East, Heat could afford to fukk up the first two rounds and not have to worry about losing the series. Playing competitive series every round just leaves a much smaller margin of error.

Making it to the finals, coming out of the east...is nothing to brag about...

East has been trash the last 3 years...

Miami played exactly 1 good team in the playoffs...and that good team blew the doors off of them...
