Rather yall want to admit or not, the loyalty of having your career play out in one city, through thick and thin, does something for a player's legacy. Loyalty is a highly respected trait and when an athlete is able remain loyal to a franchise AND win, its a beautiful thing. When you think of Larry Bird you think of the Celtics. Magic, you think the Lakers. Duncan, The Spurs, etc. Very respectable in my opinion. Its a terrible look to just hop from franchise to franchise, if you are an elite player.

Right.... Same way it hopped to cleveland? :umad:

Lebron has to run from team to team to get rings... I'm sure if Dirk ran to LA to join Kobe, he'd have 5 right now....

So Dirk >>>> Lebron right:cool:

Lebron is not the same player he was in Cleveland or his first Miami season though. Players of all kinds progress and some digress; both can happen to anybody (ie. Tracy McGrady). LeBron's chi levels are on a level never seen right now...whats difficult to understand? :dahell:

There is plenty of talk from ESPN, Stephen A smith, and everybody else in the world of sports about the possibility of him leaving....

And why doesn't he come out and say, "I signed on to the Miami heat... And I'm going to be with the heat for life"...

Kobe has came out and said he'll retire a Laker.... Why doesn't Lebron show this public display of affection for his team?

N1gga probably got his bags packed right now:usure:

I'm not saying he WILL leave... I'm just saying, everyone in the WORLD is already giving him a pass IF HE DOES LEAVE....

NO ONE is saying "he should'nt leave, that won't be a good look for his legacy"... They are all saying..... "Lebron may go to LA or NY because wade is getting old!!! Watch out!!"

smh

Kobe cried and demanded a trade at the first hint of adversity in Laker land so of course he had to come out and say he's going to retire a Laker (which will ultimately seriously hinder the Lakers attempts to rebuild if he is not willing to hand the franchise over to a younger player, so is that really loyalty or selfishness on his part?). Lebron has shown extreme loyalty to his teams regardless of The Decision, where he did what he had to do for himself in order to win championships, also maybe what he had to do for his family's happiness-who would choose living in Cleveland over Miami? Why should he even give any legs to these stories by addressing the media speculation? Also if Wade's health doesn't improve and he's not willing to opt out and restructure his deal Lebron SHOULD seriously consider leaving the Heat, unless Bosh opts out and they can bring in a dominant defensive presence down low and multiple shooters this team will not be able to seriously contend for very long if Wade plays the way he did this year and especially not if his health and skills diminish even further. Championships dictate legacy not what ifs.

Also Lebron is getting a pass because it is understood that the only way he can live up to the expectations is to win 5+ championships and even 5 would be somewhat of a let down.

Here's the updated list:

Magic didn't do it
Bird didn't do it
Kobe didn't do it
Jordan didn't do it
Hakeem didn't do it
Duncan didn't do it
Malone didn't do it
Kareem didn't do it
Russell didn't do it

Shaq did it once, but he didn't go to a team with other SUPERSTARS in their prime... He just went to a new situation.

Brady doesn't do it
Manning doesn't do it

When you look at the basketball players, that's pretty much the top 10 players in NBA history.... :gladbron::ooh:

... But, but... lebron will be the only one to enter that list, EVEN IF he keeps hopping teams in his prime...:heh:

My case = rested

A Buckeye State Of Mind
Lebron doesn't chase championship caliber teams, they chase him. If for some reason he switches teams, that team that lands him would need him more than he needs them. There's a handful of contenders but there's one life, one love,so there could only be one king:troll:

Lol at ppl who thought that Lebron should've stayed in Cleveland and try 2 win
a title with Antwan Jamison, a beat up ILLgauskas, and Mo Williams opposed 2 Dwayne Wade. Bulls/Knicks/Cavs fans need 2 stop,

And I have no problem with LeBron trying to win as many rings as possible. That's how you become the GOAT imo
