So let me get this straight.....you can edit wiki pages?

I was looking at a local rapper and I noticed a mistake so I edited it..I thought it was gonna be a long process, but it went right thru and saved

They will over look the edit and see if it's legit. But in the meantime yeah you can edit those. It's why wiki pages can sometimes be considered a non-credible source since everyone has access to it.

Thing is, if you can provide no sources for your edit, it'll be erased. Good wiki pages have TONS of sources to fact-check so they can be credible, just have to be a bit more discerning.​

I'm part of the ASA and we make sure our sociological content is accurate. There are actually paid wiki staff that fact check anything they can find that sociological and provide sources.
