Every now and then you will have a poster who drops a gem of a thread like that one on depression or the ones with breaking news but all in all negativity has consumed TLR....like why are some of you nikkaz so mad?

Yet another "TLR sucks now" thread.

I'll be honest, I've been trying to stay on the positive tip..

My concern in TLR is building up the greatest 90s thread to ever grace the internet.

How many threads on are about how black women are only best for their bodies? How many threads glorify pawgs and shyt on black women? How many times a day is the word c00n thrown around for no reason? All you gotta do is click in a thread and I'm sure you'll see one of those 3 examples and that's just the start
Then it should be easy to pick one and post it here which is why Im wondering why you haven't done that yet

I disagree.

A bunch of black people being racist against white people on a website while simultaneously condemning the racist actions of white people is not the problem with our community.

It is pathetic, tho.
Okay...I was just going to ignore and not really get into any race issues today, but this post is ridiculous.

How are...or better yet...how can black people be racist to white people in your honest opinion?

Are they denying them jobs that could possibly change their lives and be the difference between prosperity and sleeping under a bridge?:patrice:
Are they shooting them in the streets like dogs and getting off because they have a badge and a police uniform?:ohhh:

Are the issuing them high interest rates for loans or denying them loans all together?:lupe:

Man...this shyt is fukking stupid. 332 black men and women have already been killed by police this year already and you have the nerve to even equate black people commenting on white racism to white racism?

That is true it is the youngins I see that I was talking about

I been here since the SOHH/Felicia Palmer days, so I grew up in wolves' territory. So none of this really bother me.

I don't go in garbage threads and I ignore garbage posts. And I rarely get attacked, because I rarely go at people. The only people that would feel a type of way about TLR are folks who are in harm's way.

When I feel like I need to be inspired, motivated or uplifted I make sure NOT to fukk with the Coli. It's to much negativity on this site. I stay because of the few Lolz and the current news stories.
Here's the thing I have to say about the coli...it's nice to have a collection of like minded black people to talk with. We may get into some spats or disputes...but it's never serious. And I never consider the content on here to be malicious or hateful. Again, it's just the internet You're not getting this type of thing any where else. Like this forum helped me out in tough times and I couldn't speak ill on it.

I also realized it's kind of a safehaven...cause honestly going to other sites I realize how much causal to malicious anti-black racism there is on there and I honestly can't even enjoy those type of sites anymore. It's only gotten worse as the years past.

To see a thread being made about me congratulating me on my accomplishments especially considering how crazy these past four months have been for me was truly and inspiration and just great to see. So, while I can see your reasoning, I see this as an inspiration because growing up I was never around too many successful black men and women that were intelligent, motivated, and just all around awesome people. I used to post on websites where I was considered the token black guy that would be the one to validate racist jokes indirectly cause they could always point to me as an outlier (it was like this in my real life too when I was much younger)...and I got sick and tired of that.

I used to complain about the prevalence of race threads earlier...but honestly, it's nice to have that honest dialogue. It's nice to be somewhere where black people can vent, be themselves, and all that...cause that's not what every other site on the internet is like...

The Coli is straight for the most part. But if you are down and out or need to get your shyt together. You will not get any real support here. At least without getting shytted on.

What I mean is instead of people bragging about what they got we could have threads about how to gain independence, how to start small business, how to get a stable hustle etc. a lot of threads is all about shyttying on someone for not having something or just bragging. Why the hell are so many men bragging to nikkas they don't know on the net? Why lol?

Also The constant racial threads are a bit much.I've personally made threads about positivity and how we can do better and those threads flopped.
If I made a thread about something negative it would jump.
It's a lot of childishness and negativity on here. I'm thinking it's because a big portion of posters aren't even 23 yet

:mjlol: Yeah a random internet board is destroying the black community

nikkas take this shyt way too seriously, log off breh :dead:
:why:Who said its ruining the black community? I said its the problem with the black community and society as a whole. Like I said before because its anonymous you can be who you truly are and some of the posts and threads in the locker room are just :mindblown::scust: so if you gonna try to make a post for daps get your facts straight and you can see by my join date and number of posts that I log off quite often

I think you all are missing the point of the rant. When black folks can come together freely and talk about things even if its anonymously and on the internet we need to be uplifting each other, sharing life experiences and not disrespect our women. Even though this just a website and you may even have an alter ego up here the fact that it's anonymous means you can show who you really are and the mindset of the sausage fest in TLR to me is scary and detrimental.
How is this thread uplifting?

If u dont quote some quotes and @ some names we mite have to get that neg train started bro. :francis:

If u are scared to speak to specific posters and examples u cant make threads like these.

I feel ya. I think it's just because I'm 30 now that I see this forum a different way. Alot of these posters are in college and are just having their first moments realizing the reality of race as a black person in America and are having their "white people ain't shyt" moments.

While I think it's good that the younger generation is waking up somewhat...they're just latching onto too much negativity like you said. Not really healthy. It's one thing to be conscious of the way you're perceived in this society, it's another to just be fixated on it or just too involved in this forum outside as just a way to pass time. I mean, I have my priorities nowadays with work, bills, rent, etc...and other things. I can't devote as much time to this place like when I was younger on SOHH. I've learned to manage my real life and real world interactions from the interactions I have on here.

I agree with the bolded.
