Not to even mention how drastically the media has changed since Jordan played. The media loves Jordan now more than they love LeBron. Jordan has nothing to do with this conversation. The media today latches on to players and forces them down everyone's throat. LeBron is no longer polarizing as far as the media goes. He's the best player in the league and today's media is all about being down with the front runner. The only thing they like more than being down with the front runner is creating their own stories. LeBron winning another MVP, and god forbid another title, sets them up with another year of LeBron vs. Jordan "stories" and "debates". So the only thing that would make them not vote for LeBron, outside of season ending injury, is a more compelling story. Derrick Rose is easily the most compelling story that could compete. Durant is third with his whole "I'm tired of being number 2" whining which they actually propped up last season. Guys like Harden, Curry and Kobe also have compelling stories/hype going into this season that could compete for the award if they have monster seasons.

But none of that shyt matters because my initial point stands, the first six weeks don't mean shyt. If Westbrook was out half the season then Durant carrying the team would resound more, but with him coming back to the team after six weeks Durant carrying them for a month and a half will be forgotten by the end of the season.

And our whole back and fourth was you asking who on Chicago is better the Bosh or Wade...and my point is that YES I agree by name and PAST reputation then NOBODY on Chicago is..but my point is that Wade/Bosh over these past years haven't always been playing like their reputation..so if they don't then why should LeBron be automatically eliminated from MVP discussions..
