He changed his entire recruiting philosophy after the 2006 class dipped. He wanted good kids instead of tough kids. As far as RG3, he wanted him but only as a cornerback. To be fair to Mack Brown though, it doesn't helped that Garrett Gilbert who was at the time one of the best prospects was a complete bust.
