that's just Vince being petty and wanting to own everything. a similar situation is with A.J. Styles. Vince allowed him keep his name, but changed "A.J." to "AJ" so that he could own all of the intellectual property for anything A.J. does in WWE.

at the end of the day Michael Cole can scream the word "woken" all he wants, but everyone already knows what's up. Matt will still be using the word "broken" all the time, it just won't be his official name and no one will give a damn what Cole calls him.
