Ross and Wale will be fine.

I worry for the new ones like Stalley and Rockie Fresh. They need to do more to brand themselves.

If Ross delivers with MASTERMIND he can give his the whole team a boost.

In reality a Black Hippy project would outsell all MMG 3 parts combined.
You sound like the same kind of person who would swear J Cole wouldn't pop until them numbers came out :wow:

If the radio ain't blasting it you just won't comprehend the power :banderas:
Na i was was one of the main dude hyping cole from the start, and cole was poppin 100x more than school boy is, the warm was bigger and better than q ever dropped, these just dont have real world buzz like that, u sound like one of the dudse hyping oddfuture

You could look at it two ways. One is MMG has never been big as far as selling lots of albums so as long as Ross and Meek and Wale (at least on his next album) can stay in that 350-500 thousand range in sales then they will be fine. But my second point is maybe Ross oversaturated the market with all the MMG collab albums for three years running and maybe the consumer is just about MMG'd out. He dropped Wale in 2011 and he should have dropped Meek in 2011 too when he had Im a Boss blowing up the streets. Then last year he should have just focused on his album and made sure that Rich Forever wasn't hotter than his official release which ended up being the case. This year is when they should have hit us with another group album followed by another solo Wale album. It may not have made a difference though because eventually the average rap fan will forget about you and move on to the next "hot" thing.

Honestly Ross just needs to kick half the crew to the curb, and focus on Meek, Wale and Gunplay. Meek did 350k which is pretty good for a hood rapper, Wale doing alright, Gold with Ambition and dropped a dope album in The Gifted.

The compilations have always been hit & miss to me. I'm not a fan of Ross but I fukk with Meek and Wale pretty heavy. It'll be interesting to see the response to DC3 from Meek when it drops, there's a lot going on though so hopefully he doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

Speaking of crews, anyone know what Cruel Summer tapped out at?

On a separate note, about Meek....I'm not sure if he can survive. Let me explain why.

Personally, I like to differentiate STREET rappers from URBAN rappers. It's a thin line, but a line nonetheless. For example most of these rappers that came out since 2009 (XXL classes) are "URBAN" meaning they grew up in urban areas but are not typical "STREET" nikkas as they didn't sell drugs, commit crimes, go to prison..basically they didn't live that lifestyle. MEEK HAS! This is not to say that urban rappers don't know what the street life entails or that they are even far removed from the realities....but just that they didn't partake in it and are not AFFILIATED.

Hate to say it but the streets don't have the buying power in HIP-HOP anymore to sustain the likes of the typical street nikka like Meek Mill.

Exactly, that's why 350k for Meek is actually pretty good numbers in my opinion.

I'm not a big Odd Future fan but they tour worldwide constantly. Definitely more than MMG.
Schoolboy and Ab will have longevity.

One thing im sure about is the music will be better than anybody on MMG. Wale the only one apart from ross to drop a fire album :wtf: imo anyway

Somewhere tropic...
Bullshyt, knee-jerk article. Kanye, the 2nd biggest hiphop artist on Earf, flopped. MMG still has the public's ear.

Meek been poppin 2-3 years now, wale more

If u want a odd future career thats cool, but wale and meek much bigger, and I highly doubt they gon drop better music, kdot the only one worth anything at the moment
