He doesn't have the movement necessary to be a #9. He usually drifts out wide and prefers to work from there. LW is by far his best position.

Drifting out wide isn't a bad thing as long as you've midfielders dynamic enough to make runs into the box (Pogba). Henry used to drift out wide all the time and it never effected his productivity. If anything, it made him more dangerous.

That's because in the early stages of Henry's career (At Juve before being bought by Arsene) he was playing as a left winger. Give Martial time to develop and hone his skills breh.

But he hasn't really gotten the chance to consistently develop at striker. He's more productive on the wing, but skill-wise he would be a beast in the center in time.
