They can't fukk off and it's easy to understand why. There are a couple of reasons this is going on. CM Punk aka the Rebel did that podcast and singled out Ryback and Reigns..has hate for Ryback but the way he spoke of Reigns was like the company wants him to look fantastic no matter what..that's where all of those keep "Reigns looking strong" comments/sentiments came from.

The other huge problem was of course Bryan saying he was gonna be in the Rumble in that Dec promo and the crowd went nuts..he appears in Philly at #10 in the Rumble..tossed out like a jobber 5 mins later. The message was clear. "fukk YOU, fans. We do what we want..just like we always did when it came to Triple H and Cena" Crystal clear message that Bryan wasn't good enough, his rehab didn't mean $hit, and we want our pretty boy on a easy path to clear success. Roman wasn't good enough, over enough, and was clearly favored over Bryan. Fans never forgot that.

Then they got crazier and had him beat Bryan clean after kicking out of all of his finishers. Had Bryan come out the next night putting him over in a cute way and gets both of them booed out. That's called BEING OUT OF TOUCH and Roman was gonna free fall from that point. Easy to see. Don't be fooled by the female cheers...Lana is even more respected than he is. He's in trouble...he's been in big trouble all year..and it all goes back to the lack of respect the company has for Bryan's true worth.

They only have themselves to blame.

Turning him won't do anything. It's a myth that turning a wrestler heel to appease fans who don't like him, can turn things around. That only works when it's just the face gimmick is crap so the crowd hates it (like what happened with The New Day). When they actually dislike the wrestler, they're not going to change that. Look at how Baron Corbin still gets booed in NXT even after turning him heel. Dude doesn't get heel heat, he gets 'You can't wrestle!' heat.

Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose defeated the Wyatt Family in a match where the live crowd treated the two fan favorites very differently. Ambrose is beloved by the Brooklyn audience, but Reigns was booed heavily during all of his high spots. Austin knows the only fix for Reigns.

Ambrose hit ‘Dirty Deeds,’ and then tags in Roman to finish off Bray Wyatt with the spear. So ‘Dirty Deeds’ wasn’t good enough because they wanted Roman to go over, but they wanted Dean to get his s--- in, too.”

Reigns also disappeared outside the ring for a portion of the match, which the crowd immediately criticized him for during the action.

Fact is, almost every big name superstar started off as a heel. It's tried and true.
He's peaked as a face.
Resistance to that fact because one is bullheaded or they want to stick it to the smarks is fine so long as they're okay with Roman's ceiling being Sheamus.
I personally think he could be a lot more.
