Note: Nothing about this story surprised me, and I know that it's just the way people are sometimes. Just wanted to tell someone.

We were leaving the hookah bar in Pacific Beach and a cop pulled us over. My buddy Jason(white guy), was driving. After seeing my friend, the cop immediately said, "OH! Don't worry, you're not going to get a ticket! I just wanted to let you know that your back license plate's light is burnt out!" Then he asked my buddy if he had been drinking that night, and he outright admitted to having a beer before we left the hookah bar. His response? "Oh, that's all right, sir! Just as long as you haven't had too much. I'm gonna just ask you to follow my finger with your eyes really quick." So from outside the car the cop does one motion with his finger while my buddy is sitting in the driver's seat, still, and says, "Okay, sir! You're good to go. I just wanted to make sure you were safe. Have a great night, now!" And then he let us go.

I've been pulled over by cops multiple times in the same neighborhood for the same reasons at the same time of night. Every time it happens I get a thorough field sobriety test, a breathalyzer, a pat-down, and my car gets completely searched. I've also never been caught for anything illegal, but that hasn't really stopped much. I had the face the rest of the ride home, and he said, "Dude, pretty sure we were lucky I was driving, right?"

No shyt.

Not to say that I wasn't grateful to just get away from the cop really quickly or anything.

My best friend got stabbed and I took my shirt off trying to wrap it around his wounds, this was in my hometown, cops knew both of us and that we were close.

Cop ripped me off my friend, handcuffed me and slammed my head on the hood of his car.

Got charged with "Disturbing the peace" when I went to court them cops never filed the papers because they knew how bad they fukked up and were lucky I didn't prosecute them.
