That's not the way it works.

I'm looking up the blood quantum laws for my own reference now. Add something useful to the conversation or move around. And for some of these tribes 1/16th is enough and tracing back to an actual tribe isn't required.

It looks very complex from what I'm reading. But there are benefits available, if you do the work to trace your lineage a bit.
