I have a friend who had a $400 budget. But she couldn't buy anything foreign luxury. Literally had a list of all manufacturers that she couldn't buy from.

They were worried about perception from clients ("we are paying these damned people far too much money")

So she went with a fully loaded Toyota Highlander.

Really it's $500/month to do whatever I want with. But I can never use a broken down car as an excuse to not get to work or a job site.

Lexus IS 350 F Sport will be close to $500 a month, but the down payment would have to come out of your pocket.
