there's a difference between being "possibly the best offensive PG" and "possibly one of the best NBA players ever"

:yeshrug:

This right here.

Remember a few years ago when the whole world of sports hated Kobe?

Dude had to score 81 points in a game to get everyone back.

The higher you are the more scrutinized your moves are.

or for you ign'ant motherfukkers

The higher you are the more the bottom talks shyt.

forget about the Lebron comparison. what about the subliminals fired off by Larry Bird aimed towards Ray Allen?

You think any legends will say anything about Nash?

You think the Celtics would do a sign and trade to help Ray Allen go to the Heat? :russ:

Lakers didn't just win a championship

I'll say this. We have never seen a player at that level go this long without so much as making a Finals and recieve not once ounce of criticism or blame for the shyt. I challenge anyone to find me a player deemed best at his position, 2 time MVP, who went 8 years without so much as a Finals appearance who didn't take some heat. Every time PHX lost all you heard about was who was hurt or how the officials screwed them. Never once was Nash accused of not getting it done or not getting his team over the hump. I can't think of one other NBA player that you can say that for.

Add this plus the fact he's played with the likes of:

Dirk Nowitzki (I know Nash then wasnt the Nash we know now)
Amare Stoudemire
Joe Johnson
Shawn Marion
Jason Richardson

Nobody on earth said Nash was the best player on earth though. Most of us thought Shaq and Kobe should have won those MVPs. That was a strange time in the NBA, particularly for voting.

Nah

Ray 37

The possibility of Ray Allen signing with the rival Heat = Larry Bird and racist Boston fans were :fire:

Steve Nash actually signing with the rival Lakers = Suns management, Suns fans and sports media are all like

The difference is Boston just took Miami to 7 games in the ECF and gave them the toughest series this year.

Nash just missed the playoffs in Phoenix again where his second best player was...Jared Dudley? Marcin Gortat?

See the difference?

:laff: that's your answer as to why this cac never got criticized. These cacs are crazy. The first headline after lebron won that title was what nikka can we criticize and destroy next. They named everybody except a white person. :pacspit: Steve Nash and Larry Bird.

What that gotta do with the media comparing this nikka to the greatest pgs of all-time? No player has received the amount of love, praise, and credit that Nash has without receiving even the slightest hint of blame. Wilt avg. 50 a game and was considered a loser. Mike put up 37 a game and was considered a guy who couldn't get over the hump. Kobe put up 35 a night and carried the Lakers to the playoffs and caught hell when they lost to a higher seed. Bron put up 38,8,8 and was criticized after they lost to Orlando. Players at a certain level get all the credit for Ws and blame for Ls. As long as it's consistent I'm :manny: about it. I have a problem when the rules change because people like (or look like) a guy.

I never put him on a pedestal like that, so it doesn't bother me as much :manny:

I don't think it's because he's white either. Dirk got hammered for years after those back-to-back collapses in '06 and '07. It took him winning in '11 to get that stigma off him.

Shaq never got blamed for the disasters he helped create in all of his stops :yeshrug:

The media just likes certain athletes.
