the same source that said that nelly was at 8.49mill in 2011 got it probably right, since now is at 10mill, but got the number of 50 sales Wrong?
I can't speculate on that since there is no source. I can only work with the facts we have from the RIAA, which is the only company that certifies album sales. I'm not saying HiphopDX is wrong, the RIAA is saying it.

This is way more impressive than 50 and get rich or die trying. 50 had one if the biggest machines in hip hop history behind him. Nelly had nobody on his album, basically did it by himself. No super producers either. Just local talent. shyts crazy when you think about it.
Actually nelly was signed to cudda love who had something to do with getting mase signed and poppin.

I wonder how many folks claim this to be classic now were hating when he released it.

*raises hand*

The thing is - it doesn't matter how I feel about it. You don't have to like an album to admit it is a "classic".
It's "classic" status is contingent on how the general public feels about it. You can't deny it was loved,
you can't deny the sales, you can't deny how it altered the game.

I'm still not crazy about the album (aside of "For My", and "Thicky Thick Girl"), but I respect all of the
accolades it has collected and Nelly himself.
