I liked Southland more than this, but this show is not bad at all. I did like the Law and Order crossover episodes in the beginning. Some good characters aren’t on the show anymore and it seemed to get monotonous which is why I stopped watching around season 4 or so. I probably should pick it up again.

Upton story line doesn't make any since and completely ignores how she's been a badass since she joined the squad. She's basically been a female version of Voight and now all of a sudden she's breaking down constantly because she had to kill a guy who not only almost took out Burgess, he actually did kill six other people including four underage prostitutes. The guy was evil incarnate. If anyone should be an emotional wreck, it's Burgess.

Yeah he def let dude that dude grab his piece so Lindsay had to shoot him. He was not going to let that dude leave that room under any circumstance. Voight street smarts is on 1000x he not going to uncuff the dude and give him a perfect angle to grab his strap. He was also gaslighting telling ol boy ill just turn myself in. He knows there is no way he takes the fall without Lindays role coming out as well. He was posturing and manipulating like a mothafukka.
