no disrespect Detroit brehs but Im still mindblown from what I saw on that CharlieBo313 youtube channel....this sht opened my eyes something serious....when I get some time Ima do some research on how the fck Detroit got to this point...and where is the sense of urgency from black folk regarding cities like this? 
I been all through post katrina N.O. - and Detroit is next level...this sht may have changed me and made me more cynical than I already am...

Breh, I grew up in Brightmoor, this video was Disneyland.
I work near Sherwood, got family in Rosedale. University is nice, so is the villages.

In 20 years time Detroit is going to be virtually unrecognizable for the better and worse.
They are spending a lot of money downtown and midtown but I always wonder where are those poor black residents are going to forced out too, they can't touch Oakland county cause of the taxes in addition of the property cost, in fact if you have paid attention, asians and whites are trying to take Southfield over (hell they elected a white mayor, first time in a long time) and parts of Oak Park, they could/have moved into Macomb county but the racial history will make it hard. The only legit option is downriver but that's home to the poor whites who aren't moving. I see the growth in parts of the city but displacing a lot of the residents in the neighborhoods won't be easy, 20 years seems ambitious but maybe.
At least majority of our hoods in L.A. is still well kept even tho the look can be deceiving

People say oh in 15-20 years Detroit this and Detroit that. I don't think they realize just how much of the city is fukked up. I don't see charmers and Houston Whittier or west grand blvd and warren being revitalized in 10-15 years. They gonna Fukk around and just cut part of the city off. White folks are moving into pockets of the city and downtown into condos. But what about when they start having kids. No way they sending their kids to Detroit public. They gonna end up tanking the dps in the next 10-15 years.
