But back to this shyt, im usually someone who calls for more racial diversity in video games, but this mario kart shyt is just stupid. there is only like 7 humans in the whole mario universe, 2 of which are evil dopplegangers. its shyt like this that makes it harder to address the real problem of the absence of Black protagonists in video games. focusing on one game/series is dumb when its a far bigger problem across the entire video games industry. If someone wanted to really address the significant absence of Black protagonists and used Mario as one example of many showing a pattern across different franchises than yeah it might have a point, but saying Mario Kart is racist all on its own is just stupid.
