Nothing has changed except the image of J. Cole after apologizing like a hoe on stage.
Absolutely.
Like some our saying, not a lot changed. Drake can still be considered #1 in numbers and Kendrick as #1 the best rapper. Only persons whose status was hurt A LOT is Cole's so far and possibly irreparably, but nobody so far has taken up the mantle.
A perfect opportunity for Sean imo
Kendrick dropped an album not even a year after DAMN. and that album had like 3-4 major hits.Kendrick and J Cole don't really want the responsibility of what it takes to be the #1 rapper.
It's no surprise Kendrick disappeared after the success of DAMN. It'll be interesting to see what fills the vacuum left by Drake if his run is really over.
It’s embarrassing a mid rapper with writers was ever compared anywhere near a much superior rapper and artist in the first place.Sean will NEVER be seen as number 1. His time for that has passed
I will always get offended when people lump Cole and Kendrick together. Cole is not on Kendrick’s level lyrically and damn sure not album-wise
Honestly…Comparing Cole to kendrick atp is not only lazy its disrespectful to hip hop
What are we even basing this argument on? Just bc they came out at the same time? Like please
I’d sooner debate kendrick vs Scarface, or kendrick vs Ghostface, than I would J Cole.
Who’s cole?Kendrick didn’t prove he was a better rapper than Drake.
Don’t think anyone who thought Drake was better going in, thinks Kendrick is better now.
Same for the other way around.
Kendrick proved he may be able to match Drake in sales/popularity. But we gotta wait for the album to come out to confirm it
In the end, cole still rapped circles around both them nikkas and will still be in 3rd with regard to popularity.
All of this was for naught. The stans got a show tho![]()
