Don't use the app. Use the mobile website on an ad-blocker web browser on your phone.

Yeah. You have to download an attachment apk tho called micro g but it's just a few mb

It really is a carbon copy of youtube but with no ads

Does it block ads for apps like Youtube TV and Hulu?

You get no Ads on YouTube the only videos you won’t be able to see are the paid one like the movies you can buy. Sadly it’s only for YouTube & I think SoundCloud at the moment idk if somone is working on a similar version for Hulu.
