what dissapoints me more is know that its his last 2 years....he doesnt even have that much time left anyway....WTF is he waiting for?

He doesnt have to get up there and say "fukk whitey" but we all seen the corruption in Ferguson

He could get up there and say he is "very disappointment in the handling of the entire affair by local authorities"...again WTF IS HE WAITING FOR?

Is he scared the Democratic party will loose votes? Who gives a fukk...the Democratic party are running that state and they are the main ones involved in oppressing his own kind in Missouri and Ferguson. He should go all out and lay it all on the line. He should give his views on over aggressive policing..on the need for community policing..etc.

NONE OF THIS STUFF IS OUT OF LINE FOR THE LEADER OF THE NATION TO SAY.

Indeed.

And with all due respect to those that say "he's the US president, not black America's president."

In the past 3 years we've seen him push for tangible items that directly benefited LGBTs.

Just recently, we've seen him push, through an executive order, tangible items that directly benefit latinos.

But when it comes to an issue that is directly affecting black people, we at best get a speech. Any other time we either get words along the lines of "please calm down" or a neverending federal investigation. Remember, the trayvon investigation is still going on two years later. So why should black folks feel confident that an investigation on Darren Wilson will bring in anything?

So why are people surprised that black folks, Obama's biggest supporters and defenders, feel disappointed at best, or betrayed at worst?

This is politics brehs

This is chess

This is a city run by Demoncrats and Obama had a great opportunity before the midterm to put them under the microscope and make sure they got it right or their jobs should be on the line.

@Napoleon makes great technical points. If you don't understand or study policy or know how the game works it goes over your head.

The bottom line: no emotion raw facts

Obama dropped and the Obama Admin dropped the ball on Ferguson

Ferguson is on the verge of a race war and you guys expect the President to say how he really feels about this situation. He had to come out with a mid-level response, because its the only way he can say those things. He had an emotional response to the Trayvon Martin shooting and got lambasted for it. But it doesn't matter nothing the President could say would be good enough. He's not black enough for the coli, I mean we got cats asking for Bush back :mjlol: It just goes to show how politically obtuse we are at times.

Again, what issue is there against black people that doesnt apply to everyone?

Immigration doesn't just benefit latinos.

LGBT? There are black gays too.

What are you talking about?

Case in point

Obama to local officials:

I think its critical the announcement is made during the day to avoid indrectly provoking people to "riot" or "loot"

Elected officials are put on hot seat

Obama to local officials:

As a result, given the issue we had last summer I also recommend keeping the military at bay and not on the ground in Ferguson because it gives the wrong perception. These people have the right to protest in the street.

With that being said the police who are on duty shouldn't be wearing riot gear. There were no reports of police being shot at last summer. They should be in standard gear.

Elected officials..... On the hot seat

If they don't take his advice when he gives his speech he makes them look inept and he now has the platform to take executive orders

I agree with you, but 99.9% of his "fans"/people who voted for him would have referred as a black president. :yeshrug:
The thing is he either is or he isn't.. Him being a Black man is either relevant and pertinent or not.. We have to stop trying to have it both ways..

You cant be like this

Obama Fan - "These racists in congress wont let him push his agenda forward just because he's BLACK MAN and they can't handle it!!!

Obama Voter- "I wish he would have more passion and enthusiasm for issues that affect Black men in America. "

Obama Fan- "He ain't Nino Brown!!. He aint the president for BLACK folks!!He's for ALL AMERICANS!! What yall want him to do, break dance and shoot dice in the Oval office!?!?"

All I'm saying is stop trying to prop up the guy as convienently Black when it fits your agenda...Then trying to hide behind the "position" whenever accountability is required by his base...

Immigration STRONGLY benefits latinos, they are the ones that pushed for it, not black folks.

Black folks haven't pushed for LGBT rights either. I'm for them personally, but for blacks as a group, there are bigger issues.

However, issues that DIRECTLY affect black folks, that black folks push for, get little to no tangible response. And black folks gave Obama over 92% of their votes to him. So of course many black people are pissed.

What, are we supposed to continue getting crumbs on each issue, while other groups get a big chunk of what they want?

That's all it takes for most of the black vote

He doesnt want the system to break down on his watch. At the end of the day not much holds society together. Most of you are not ready to give up your comforts if this whole shyt comes tumbling down.

Stop calling him a Black president.. By your own admission there is no such thing... He is just another president..

The problem is a lot of his fans (and I say fans because that's the way they act) only want to bring up his Blackness when it can be used as a crutch or something to explain away the criticism he gets.. But when someone suggests that as a Black man he should have certain specific sensibilities just as GW did as a Southern Christian white male people wanna get disingenuous and say "He ain't Tupac or Chuck D!!!"
@Born2BKing no response breh:sas1:

Gator u smart breh, can you decode the speech for me. @Napoleon bytched out:leostare:

That's probably the only good point in this thread.

Still though after all of Americas sins (native American genocide, only nation to drop nukes on people, slavery, unjust wars around the world, oppression).........I say fukk it, let it burn :manny:
