Also who knows what players will be drafted to these teams. Maybe some kid still in high school becomes a franchise changer in a few years. Or maybe some young player switches teams and becomes an all star. It's just way to early to tell.

My Pops Forever RIP
My dad loves Utah basketball. You really think they're getting in a position to be notably relevant?
Well ahead of some of these teams y'all think got next.

And they're doing it without this "transcendent" player. They got everything else you need but superstars are p*ssy and don't see a good thing in front of them

I'd say the same about the Celtics but they have 2 options to go after that guy: draft or trade.

As far as I know, none of those teams are willing to go in the luxury tax to "have next" except the Celtics, so them, and hopefully Lakers.

Wolves/Jazz have the most potential right now.

Problem is that not many young men want to live in either place. You know what's wild though? If the Wolves somehow get the #1 pick again and pick up Simmons...man that is probably the most stacked young team I have ever seen since the mid 90's warriors when Webber was there. Not even Philly with their blatant tanking can even compete with what is going on with the Wolves right now...and that's even WITH the fact that Anthony Bennett was a complete bust.

If Webber never demanded that trade that team would have had Sprewell, Webber, Tim Hardaway and a still productive Chris Mullin

It's always too early to tell and you guys always get this wrong whenever it's asked. There's too many variables just with free agency and potential injuries. Years ago people would have told you Portland and Oklahoma City would be battling for the West year in year out and the Spurs would've been over by now. Besides, assuming they keep their team together, Golden State should be title contenders for longer than just next season, all of their better players are relatively young.

Yea I know Towns is just a rookie but I thought for sure with those 2 main pieces they would be a lot better.

The west beat each other up and I see Boston coming up out the east... cavs not getting any younger and dan Gilbert spending cash like the Florida Marlins to win now and plus bad contracts on that squad especially if LeBron go down
