Especially during that 2010-2011 season, when Kobe was out and Pau had those monster games and ESPN were hyping up Pau as an MVP candidate and even saying Pau was as good, and potentially even better than Bean. Pau never even made an All-NBA 3rd team until he played with Kobe, appeared in 1 all-star game in his first 7 years before Kobe, And Kobe went to 3 straight finals/won back to back titles with him. He's certainly not on The level of the great 2nd options that most of the other greats have had, so I'm not sure why Kobe gets the label of needing a lot of help.

Pau's time with the Lakers should be used as an example of Kobe making someone around him look better then he actually is
