It's not a new phenomenon. The medium is the message.

:childplease:

Well give examples of yesteryear where women were verbally expressing that they hate babies..... There were platforms for this back then.... but you can't find them because they don't exist.... plenty of magazines and interviews expressing how women hated men, being wives, being subserersive, etc in the 60s and 70s..... but I challenge you to find more than a few that expressed hating babies outright.... I won't wait for your non-answer

I don't want to say you're moving goalposts, but this is a vague line of questioning. Are we talking about hatred of babies specifically, hatred of motherhood as an institution, or antipathy toward children as an impediment to personal freedom? The evidence looks very different depending on which one you mean. And moving goalposts doesn't change the fact that absence of explicit record isn't absence of the sentiment; the social pressure suppressed open expression of it in that era, which is literally the point of this thread.

If you had a college level course on sociology then you may have run across Shulasmith Firestone and Simone de Beauvoir, who both wrote extensively framing children and pregnancy as explicitly negative. I can dig further if you want. The sentiment has always existed; the internet just removed the social cost of expressing it.

Don’t act surprised like there hasnt been long standing terms like terrible twos and threes or threenagers. Kids are a$$holes. Parents just deal with them cause they had them and love them.

As a kid I :mjpls: kids specially the ones the cried all the damn time.

was a boy in my class when I was in 1st grade was some type way

I couldn't figure it out back then (rainbow shyt wasn't open and ram down your throat in the 90's like it is now)
and I use to look at him like this :mjtf:

but he grew up :dame: makes alot of sense why the energy was off with him when I was little.

and my desk had to be next to his :martin:

people forget the body gets older but the spirit the nature of the person

doesn't change unless
God changes it. also you can be molded it but still it's somethings only God can change

you can kinda tell if you going to be a shyt grown up how you act as a child as you grow up
