It will be HARD for democrats or republicans to fire the 10,000 + agents that were hired. Not because they are good guys, because they are seen as law enforcement.

Budgets for the federal government get sliced and diced all the time and if there’s a drawdown Uncle Sam has no issues showing troops the door. The military has a way better PR campaign than ICE, so if they’re put ICE on the chopping block, nobody but the most loyal magat would care
