Honestly if the shoe was on the other foot you KNOW there would be Mexican ICE aganets.

There are plenty of Mexican ICE agents.

Mexicans don't think monolithically about immigration the way people assume they do.

I've found myself having more sympathy for illegal immigrants than the mexicans I've had discussions about this with in real life.

Growing up around them there is definitely not the unity people think there is.

American assimilation divides the US mexicans(who if we keeping it really aint that far removed cuz they grandma born in Mexico and doesn't speak English) and the Mexicans who culturally don't assimilate (derogatorily referred to as beaners).

The amount of convos I've had with US mexicans calling other Mexicans beaners is crazy.

It was interesting observing their culture growing up as an outsider from them and seeing how immigrants have to deal with blending the culture they come from with American society.
