So Playstation Now Beta for PS4 starts today...

This is a glimpse into what will eventually make consoles and gaming pc's obsolete. We'll be streaming 4k games at ultra settings and never have to worry about getting better hardware as all of that will be done server side. I could see them even start streaming ps4 games within the next couple years. Netflix is proof enough that this model works. The problem is making sure the entire developed world has adequate internet but that should only be about a decade away. It's pretty exciting if you actually think of only needing a display device and a controller to play every game in existence.

I understand they wanna charge you to play old PS1/2/3 games. Well, you can "rent" them
PS+ gives you free games every month... and they wanna "sell you" a bunch of shytty games that you could download for free and play on an emulator?
That's what the sony "cloud" is used for... basically its a glorified Wii-Ware store

Got an invite last night

Gonna try it out later. Im guessing theyll drop a release date and lots of details at E3 next week. I hope its not just a monthly fee option and we can purchase games instead of renting.

Sh1t work exponentially better than I thought it would. It's just going to come down to the selection of games. Because if the LOU runs well on here I see no reason to pay 60 for the PS4 version. When I can rent it for a week or a month for a few bucks.

There won't be that many games you'd wanna use. Because you already played them.
Yes, some you haven't. How many? And how much time would you spend when you have a constant stream of new games that end up on backlogs
Not knocking the idea of this, I just don't see the practicality in the long term
Xbox has this gamertag thing, games stay tied to that
So I can download 100+ games at any time to play anywhere.. for free.... and been doing this for damn near 10yrs now (I just didn't have as many games tied to my account then)

What I just said is the main reason why this idea is retarded in my eyes.
