was on tmz a few months ago coming out of a club in la. No one gave a fukk even though he still had a limp. In the bulls thread we have pictures of Rose and other bulls out partying. No one gave a fukk.
I saw Lance Briggs and Pierre Thomas at a club last week. No one gave a fukk, no one took pictures or criticized them for partying despite their teams missing the playoffs.

Its already been mentioned. His E:60 profile is positive. The stories about his brothers and his family is positive. People like him. I like him. He is viewed positively by most people...

He's viewed positively because despite his lifestyle, it hasn't affected the team or his family.
Now, if Gronk got hurt while acting a fool, he'd get ripped forever. In sports, as long as what you do doesn't affect the team or compromise anyone, you tend to skate more often than not, black or white. Gronk has never been questioned for how he plays, how he interacts with the team, how he is with the community. Gronk is getting ripped for being a 23 year old guy with money. The people who get on him (and other athletes) for this type of shyt, are people that are way too concerned with what you do in your spare time and want you living in a bubble between now and training camp. Those are the ones that always get mad; they just happen to also be the ones that write.
Both black and white athletes get ripped into by the media cause the stories garner attention, which in turn gets the ratings and money...
That being said, the reactions of the media personalities and general public to the stories are fueled by race, ignorance and stereotypes.
When it comes to white athletes, more often than not the reactions range from " hes just having fun out there
", to "hes a dumb jock
" type comments.
Let it be some brothers gettin in "trouble" or appearing disrespectful to the game and suddenly we're monkeys that would be dead, in prison, or baggin groceries if massa didnt pay us millions to play a sport for kids.
Theylll sometimes make a comment alluding to the ghetto, hiphop, obama, or welfare, and theyll tell us to go back to africa
and be "grateful" were not living in jungles with no clothes or internet
Usually when these type of euro americans have something against us they attach negative stereotypes to go along with their hate/rant in order to justify what they say.
