No. It started when Cena got booed out years ago for Angle and they justified him winning no matter what as a slap to your face. An insult to your intelligence.

very possible vince takes pleasure in trolling his smark audience. all the guys they want to cheer are positioned to fail/lose and all the up and comers that start to gain momentum are immediately buried before they can catch fire.

the shane angle is just more evidence. does this big angle where he addresses the fans cries for change and he still loses.

so vince takes pleasure in driving away paying customers? takes joy in ruining angles guaranteed to make stars and set the company up well for the future? Vince always did come off like a kid who prefers to break his toys than share them, so I guess it makes sense he would almost rather kill his promotion before seeing anyone else book it right and put on a good show

Just gonna quote what I said in other topics.

What's funny is that they actually had an in-universe storyline that if Shane won, changes would come.

I know that it was just a storyline and that Shane isn't really about to be taking over the Fed like that, but still, talk about an awkward story to tell.

And when you consider that all of the legacy people won tonight at the expense of the newbies...yikes.

It's such a BIZARRE choice.

Do they even realize how that LOOKS contextually? On a meta-level?

They've 1) Acknowledged that the show is trash 2) Acknowledged that the fans are angered by it and want change 3) Brought someone in who, at least on a surface level, actually seems like he would have the skill and power to make said changes, and 4) Taken it all away from us.

It's like, I *get* that Shane was never going to be "taking over RAW" because of a fake-match with Undertaker. But still...WHY would they write that? Honestly, how much coke has Vince been snorting over these past 2 months? :russ:

Did Vince even show his face tonight? You'd think he would have done *something* before the Taker/Shane match. Steph/Hunter never said a word about it either. These clowns were in-story about to lose control of Raw and it's :manny: It's like they weren't even trying to pretend that the storyline stipulations mattered....:russ:

I agree OP. That was one big 'fukk you' to the audience.

And that fact that they didn't even try to the acknowledge the stipulation the night of the show....even WM isn't supposed to be good....:bryan:

If that's so, Vince better be careful.

Cena in 2005-15 is a different dynamic from right now. The Network is the lifeblood of the company now. No more kids begging their parents to spend an insane $60 on a PPV to see John Cena. $60 makes up for a bunch of money of those who didn't order. Now with the Network being $10, it'd take way more kids begging their parents than before.

And while it is only $10, if this Reigns thing keeps up, I'm cancelling. And I'm a day 1 subscriber.

Match would have been better with a clear heel and clear face
Naw the match played out fine face vs face the ending was trash tho. I liked how taker felt sorry for Shane and was like ok this enough and just ended the match cause shane had enough.

The best idea breh had said yesterday had bout shane getting beat down by goons early in the night and him trying to recruit a replacement ...but everyone either already got a match or scared of facing Taker in hell in the cell...but then Nakamura or Joe steps in for shane ...
