Read what @shopthatwrecks said.

David Blake (aka Quik) is given the largest list of credits on the album. The vast majority of those other people are musicians. You want Quik to play the flute?

Dre has always had a "rap tier" producer to help him. In addition to all the other shyt Quik has. Quik ain't ever had a Mel Man, or a Daz, or a Scott Storch, or been accused of jacking a sound, like ATL and G-funk.

And ironically Quik actually did the drums for "In Da Club" and Dre got all the credit for that song. That's the kind of shyt @stomachlines is talking about.

Fred.

bingo, thank you @hexagram23 and @shopthatwrecks :myman:

I fuk w/ Quik heavy....and probably listen to more Quik than Dre.

But this is just another example of The Booth bigging up someone simply because they are the underdog.
A lot of dudes just dont like a dude that won (Dre).

Same reason cats will hate on a Jay Z.

DRE HAVING GHOST PRODUCER MYTH IS WAY OUT OF CONTROL....THEYRE CALLED SESSION PLAYERS. SOMETHING EVERY GREAT PRODUCER, INCLUDING QUIK, USES ON THEIR BEATS. DRE IS THE EPITOME OF A PRODUCER.. HE SITS WIT THE ENTIRE TEAM FROM INCEPTION TO COMPLETION OF EACH TRACK, GUIDING THE ENTIRE PROCESS. IT'S HIS MIND RESPONSIBLE FOR THOSE CLASSICS, NO ONE ELSE....IF IT WASNT, WHY HAVENT ANY OF HIS SESSION PLAYERS BEEN ABLE TO PRODUCE CLASSICS ON THAT TIER? SIMPLE SCIENCE.

IN FACT, I'LL TAKE IT ONE STEP FURTHER AND TELL YOU SIMPLETONS THAT DRE ACTUALLY GHOST-PRODUCED A MAJORITY OF DOGG FOOD.

LISTEN TO WHAT DRE DOES TO A "GHOST-PRODUCTION"

AFTER DRE PRODUCED THE JOINT

A session player is a hired studio muscian.

They have nothing to do with ghost production.

You just typing the stuff that youve read overtime and form an opinion to the matter when many people within the camp has said Dre will fine tune your beat and throw himself in as producer.

only 3 ppl quik went to in his entire career production wise..robert bacon n g-one george archie...they have always got their credit...

majority of the ppl listed are all on 3 songs...

larry blackmon clinton..all got production credit instead of samplin credit..

suge showed quik to how to get the most bang for his buck...and everybody ate..kuz suge negotiated a deal so quik could his 20million back..so they was hittin a lick..

u will see the same 3 ppl on quik album gettin production credit...

courttney branch n tracy kendricks...co-executive produce quik albums....because they was down with profile from day one...after safe n sound..u hardly seen their names ever again after he went to arista..the last album they showed up on was balance n options

The point is, he still had assistance and it wasn't just on this album. Yes, most of his co-production work came from G-One and Robert Bacon, but it's still assistance.

I love Quik's work, always have. Way 2 Fonky and Safe & Sound are both classics, to me.

But Dre's worked from a different space pretty much his entire career. Dude's been bringing in live instrumentation and producing around that since the early 90's on a consistent basis, for nothing but classic albums. Other dudes have too, but not on the level Dre has. The dude studied music theory while he was already the most successful producer in Hip Hop. I remember Mel-Man saying, "Dre will give you the bones to the beat, tell you to sprinkle something on top, and then he'll come back in and take it to the next level." That's the epitome of greatness in a producer. He's the culture's Quincy Jones.

the chronic and doggystyle is still the shyt but dre had far too much help from ghost producers for him to be helmed the goat from the west :francis:

dr. dre was the goat to me in the 90's but now that i know he didn't produced a lot of the shyt he got credit for it, he ain't that nikka :yeshrug:

the way i see it now, quik is that nikka and the best from the west:myman:

safe + sound and rhythm-al-ism :blessed:

quik's rosecrans ep >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> dre's compton soundtrack :sas1:
Dre's so called helpers are going to have to make albums close to good as the albums they "ghost produced" before I start discrediting the goat Dr Dre. He ain't seeing Dre
