That's a nonsensical way of looking at things. What numbers are you going off? Just the standard box score or what? Butler's one of the best wing defenders in the league, how could you possibly know how much influence/impact on the defensive end if you just looked at the #s? If he shot poorly, how would you know if there weren't some shots he needed to take late in the shot clock or if other teammates would refuse to shoot or be out of rhythm? If he had a high % of turnovers, how would you know it wasn't his teammates who were more to blame?
Because I can usually tell when someone is talking nonsense about a player/team.
I do NOT make that a point at all, because I do not watch every game.
Are you seriously asking why is it better to watch the game rather than just looking at the box score to measure how well a player/team played?
