Full Measures
All Star
We all know what the Spurs did to him on Saturday. In his first game since that performance he went against the Timberwolves and posted these numbers
6 for 19 from the field
2 for 9 from three
The Wolves also held the Warriors as a team to 8 for 24 from three
The Wolves held him under 20 points for the second straight game and were like a rock in his shoe all game long. They also implemented the same defensive strategy that the Spurs used of switching and keeping bodies in front of him and by the looks of it it is extremely effective. Obviously the Spurs are the better team and the Timberwolves depend on a lot of young guys night in and night out so they lost this game but the rest of the league saw this game and the game on Saturday night and are beginning to think differently about what is the best way to defend this team.
I know a large contingency on here were under the impression that there was no possible way that Steph would ever have consecutive bad shooting nights simply because he's just too good.
Well this is hard evidence that Steph indeed can have consecutive bad shooting nights if your defense MAKES him have a bad shooting night. If you stick to the gameplan like the Spurs and Wolves did you can neutralize Curry and force someone else to beat you. One of the best defensive teams of all time statistically speaking did it on Saturday and a lottery bound team in Minnesota did it tonight.
It can be done. Do not think otherwise
