To my knowledge Marshall’s does layaway all year.

So many people put stuff on lawaway not knowing if they’re gonna be able to get it out .

I used to work at Walmart years back, fam do you realize how much toys and electronics go there? And it's not always about not being able to get the item at that time, I know quite a few customers that use it as place to store gifts until Christmas as opposed to hiding shyt all over the house.

I USUALLY USE IT FOR EXCLUSIVE ITEMS THAT SELL OUT QUICK. DOESN'T HAPPEN THAT MUCH THESE DAYS BUT IT DOES. IT SUCKS WHEN A TOY OR ITEM BLOWS UP AND IT GOES ON BACK ORDER. LAYAWAY LETS YOU GET THE ITEM AND COME BACK WHEN YOU GOT THE CASH.
TICKLE ME ELMO WAS THE LAST TIME I USED IT FOR THIS.
I MOSTLY JUST USE IT TO TIE UP GIFTS FOR MY FAMILY'S KIDS. THEN PASS THE PAYMENTS TO THEM. IF THEY PAY THEY GET THEIR ITEM. IF THEY DON'T.
Main reason is to get shyt while it's in stock. Stores like Burlington or TJMaxx where inventory changes often or around the holidays when popular toys sell out quickly.

The bolded was absolute chaos to get, I remember cats were reselling them online for an AMG Benz car payment amount cause you couldn't find them.
Almost as bad as the 1st order of PS3 units!
