I'm starting to think to think the cavs want the two seed and hopes Boston makes it to the ecf. Playing without HCA will warm them up for playing the warriors or spurs without it.

Silver, get the ball rolling on 1-16 seeding this summer. Cavs are announcing to the entire league they don't give a fukk about the regular season and nobody in the east can fukk with them in any way, shape or form.
They really do. I haven't heard a single good reason against it.
I think it's coming honestly, especially with them changing it in the WNBA and seeing an immediate return. Could be seen as a test run of sorts
WNBA went to 1-x seeding? Did they get rid of conferences too? If they went too 1-16 and got rid of the conferences they could really spice up the regular season. They could keep divisions for scheduling purposes, but this would allow top teams to play each other more often
