i aint got the book in front of me but from i recall in some of the things she brings up is how for example phone apps will require certain permissions from you in order to grant full service of the app like for example access to your contacts or locations. she says that these apps not just collect data on you to sell u more to you but to eventually be able to predict your behavior. predicting behavior and trends is major role, since science already states that are bunch of algorithms anyway.
she put the example of how car and insurance companies can in fact monitor ur driving and your behavior patterns and can decide what type insurance premiums u get or if ur late on your payments they can lock u out of car since now they have access to your car through the IOT. (internet of things)
She also talked about instrumentalism, which basically leads to automating people, through the ubiquitous access to technology everywhere i.e the IOT, which where everything and anything that can be connected to internet will, even u eventually. through digital surveillance i.e ur phone tv, anything with internet access they can learn your behavior and eventually learn how to modify it. automating human behavior is a way to easily predict your actions but to also keep u under control;( u can no longer go home and say what u want to say because now the tv, phone etc can hear u) the sanctity of the home is basically gone
technology has basically become necessary to function in the modern world, there is a sense of inevitability,that the surveillance been done by corporations (and the government) will lead to a China like state where if ur not part of the "system" u wont be to for example board a plane or use the internet or use so app because it requires access that u must give permission. Basically the way corporations override this is by making technology almost a need more than a luxury, in where u need to t to survive . U will trade in the benefits of this tech for privacy rights leading to a china like state

,basically we are heading to a china like state, and people will accept this surveillance type state due to the so called benefits that come from technology. real deep things i knew , but other things that help make sense of agenda 21/ smart homes, smart technologies that are been implemented
but now its mainstream.. I mean when alex jones would say" the elites are trying to create a prison planet **weird ranting sounds*** i was like what but then when u tie it all together , u can see how transhumanism, A.I. agenda 21, Virtual reality, IOT and their gnostic religious beliefs,all fit together then it all starts making the sense. ( of course tie it in with scripture and
