On God, that 7-1 scorline was a farce. I feel like if they were to meet again next world cup, Brazil will win because they have better stand out players and they will finally get some steel in their midfield.

the only world class outfield players on that sheet are the two centerbacks and Kroos(well he's world class for the current standards, I personally don't rate him that high). They fullbacks and attacking players besides Reus are all average

That was the weakest Confed Cup of all time imo. The host country is shyt and Chile and Portugal are upcoming teams, without much tradition. If this competition had Brazil, Uruguay, Italy, Spain, France, etc Germany wouldn't have won it easily.
it takes A LOT of time create a youth-development culture,unfortunately we live in a 'gotta win NOW' era!!
as far as germany,klinsmann, in many ways, is the 'pioneer' who never got the credit he deserved
he started this project,but failed/didn't get enough time.
loewe came in and fine-tuned it and made them better and is winning all the cups!!
remember loewe was klinsmann's number 2, so he was there from the start of the project.
Won't happen until the US get out of the middle-class soccer mom mentality.
