From what I notice from traveling overseas. It's easy to copy an American accent. Now is that because American English is easy to mimic or if it is that America outsources so much of their entertainment? Who knows but I will say American English accent is much easier to mimic.

It’s easy because they grew up consuming American content. Everytime I hear about a foreign actor, especially British, being asked about doing American accents, it’s because they watched so many American shows and movies growing up.

Best person is getting the role. They’re getting pumped out of acting schools, whereas many American actors aren’t. These dudes spend years doing theatre too, another step American actors often overlook or skip. Their dramatic chops are simply better.

Exactly. We have the largest entertainment industry in the world. Besides the fact that that will naturally attract overseas talent, there’s also the fact British actors have more points of reference to draw from than American actors have the other way around simply because they grow up consuming American entertainment.

Now add to that the layers that black Americans set the blueprint for diaspora black people culturally (I’m not talking about the elders from whatever motherland. I’m talking about the kids that are born and grow up outside said motherlands), it becomes understandable why these brehs can blend in easier in some instances.
