Horrible contract, Dolan pressured Phil into win now mode and so he made short term moves. Sadly that may mean they will not have a chance at getting top-tier talents like a Fultz, Jackson, Smith Jr., or Ball. The team should be tanking so that KP can grow with other young players around him, instead the ceiling for the next couple of years is second round exits. What happens after those exits? Other teams with young pillars will be further ahead in their process leaving the Knicks in the rearview. But look at the Knicks thread, these cats getting mad hype over a close win over the Hornets.

The fanbase has no interest in long term building through the draft and so Dolan can get away with this dumb ass short term philosophy.
According to coli every body is a top tier talent

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
The only thing funnier is that Phil wants to bounce and go to la next year

Hopefully LA is paying attention cause Phil Jackson has basically done nothing to make the knicks better in his time.

He cleared cap space to sign Noah and Courtney lee :dead:

Refused to trade Iman shumpert and Tim hardaway jr for Kyle Lowry

Gave chubby melo with bad knees who shuts it down after the all star game a max deal with a no trade clause when he could have traded him for jimmy butler and mirotic

In some fairness, I understand the reasoning, Phil Jackson was pressured by fans and ownership to put a contending team together, and overpaying Noah was just part of it because, what were the viable alternatives? If the Knicks make the off's the next 2 years, it is worth it from their perspective.
