it's not about who you think is better or not, it's about doing enough to get to the playoffs in your respective conference...the warriors just got the unlucky break of being in a tougher conference, but like i said: them be the breaks sometimes....they shouldve won more games and/or their division....no need to overhaul the process cause a team or 2 do/dont make it that you think shouldnt/should...

theres only 2 conferences :heh: and it happens every year in the NBA :heh:

but lets keep letting 30 win teams in the play offs cause they play in a garbage conference while better teams sit at home :stopitslime:

why yall so against having better competition in the play offs :mindblown:

They wont be changing the rules to who gets into the playoffs anytime soon and its fine.

49ers 3-0 in our last 3 meetings against GB Kaep is 2-0 :win:

why you talking about the nba when this was about the nfl?...

since you wanna talk about the nba: like i said, them be the breaks sometimes...no one is against better comp in the playoffs, but to get rid of conferences to let the best record teams in (which is what you wanna do) is fukking stupid...so you'd take a team from the west, and plug them into the east side of the playoffs just cause they got a better record? lol....that's what it sounds like you want....if not, explain how you'd structure that without getting rid of conferences...

Only problem I have with the playoffs is teams with worse records hosting playoff games. It's cool if the division winner automatically qualifies but don't give em an automatic home game.

Ideally Philly should be playing AT New Orleans & Green Bay AT San Francisco. Plus Chiefs would have had something to play for today, home-field for the wildcard game against the Colts. Felt like this ever since that Seahawks debacle a few years back. They had no business having that home game against the Saints.

You guys aren't taking strength of schedule into account when determining these things.

What have the Chiefs done to deserve the spot over Indy who beat them IN Kansas City a couple weeks back? KC got swept by all the real competition that they've played(2 Ls to both Denver and SD plus Indy at home)

9-7 team with a tough schedule >>>> 11-5 team with a weaker one.

What about a team that has had to overcome significant injuries? If Rodgers doesn't get hurt the NFC seeding is drastically changed.

The system isn't perfect but it's best as it is.

We had this thread last week

"Parity at its Finest"

http://www.thecoli.com/threads/parity-at-it-finest-in-the-nfl.175072/

There is no logical answer as to why this system is , and the only answer supporters of this fukked up system could come up with is "its the way its always been."

the NFL needs to do way with divisions.

Um, no, it's more about the fact that everybody can't play everybody in the NFL.

The NFL most certainly does not need to do away with divisions, y'all need to stop
whining about every little thing.

Do away with divisions? :what:
yes, do away with divisons. They cause this imbalance. Its the fault of divisions. They are no longer relevant.

no, it does. And its not whining when you have a team that had a chance to win 11 games today but miss the playoffs for a team that only won 8 games. If you think thats fair. :camby:

If Rodgers never got hurt this would be irrelevant though. This is the problem that you and everybody who keeps arguing this keep running into.

People keep wanting it to be about the best team and simultaneously ignoring the fact that winning more games doesn't necessarily make you the better team.
